2006 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Replica It is with much regret that I have decided to test the waters and offer my 911 for sale As a business owner, father and husband I only get the time to use this at the weekend As such, I have only covered 5,000 miles in the last 6 years I do not use this car in the winter months and its locked away, covered on a trickle charger This is unlike any other 911 your likely to come across Why? Since the 997 GT2 RS came out I fell in love with it – but with prices starting at £250,000there wasn’t a chance I was ever going to have one So I decided to build my own I searched for the best part of 6 months before I found a suitable base car to start the build on This was a 2006 56 plate 997 3.6 C2 with just 27,000 miles on I bought this in February 2013 I then set to work to create the car you see today….. The long and short is I paid £27,000 for the car and then overall spent another £26,000 on the build – most of the the parts are detailed here: GT2 RS Front Bumper £1,500GT2 RS Rear Bumper £1,700GT2RS Carbon Exhaust Trims £500GT2 RS Rear Wide Arches £2000GT2 RS Bi-Xenon Headlights £1,200GT2 RS Brake Discs + Calipers £3,500GT2 RS Brake Master Cylinder £250GT2 RS Front Hubs (so brakes fit) £700GT2 RS Rear Spoiler £1,200 GT2 RS Red Seatbelts £400GT2 Inner Door Sills £250GT2 Alloy Wheels £1,200GT2 Instrument Cluster £400 GT2 RS LED Indicators £300GT2 RS LED Rear Lights £900GT2 RS Alcantara S/Wheel £850GT2 RS Gearkob £200GT2 RS Short Shift Mechanism £250GT2 RS Centre Armrest £200GT2 RS Black Wing Mirrors £150 Full Re-Spray from Blue to Carrera White £4,000Tookie Bluetooth £280 Bilstein B16 PSS9 Coil Over Suspension £2,100GT3 RS 82mm Throttle Body £300IPD Competition Plenum £600High Flow Air Filter £80200 Cell Sports Cats £4503.8 Airbox + Resonator Mod £180’Sure Fire’ Coil Packs £120Stainless Steel Brake Hoses £110Re-Map by ‘Softronic’ (the best in the business) £800 Low Temperature Thermostat £120 BOSCH S5 Battery with 2 years guarantee left £160 = Total Spend of £26,800 + original cost of car As mentioned I bought this car due to very low mileage that it had covered and the fact it looked like brand new! Unfortunately this 911 had an insurance claim registered against it at 7 months old for water damage Thus it is classed as a Category C This did not bother me as I was looking for an excellent base car in order for it to be worth doing the conversion on This ticked all the boxes being a 3.6 (more reliable than the 3.8 which runs very hot) MANUAL GEARBOX – Tiptroincs are not rated at all and cost £££’s when they go wrong Being a 56 plate it has the latest and most reliable IMS bearing vs pre 2006 vehicles It has passed it MOT every year – remember this claim was 11 years ago and not recent so nothing to worry about It has 6 service stamps in the book (there done every 2 years or 20,000 miles on these engines Its approx 360bhp with the modifications on it It does NOT smoke from start upIt does NOT ‘tick’ or ‘tap’ as someone has askedThe clutch does not slipI do not smokeThe bodywork is in excellent conditionAll tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 4SNo warning lights on dashNo worn leather seats2 x keys Circa 100 pages worth of receipts/invoicesEvery MOT copy from newFull leather bound book pack and owners manuals YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE – YOU SHOULD DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY AND IF THAT MEANS FULFILLING YOUR DREAM OF OWNING A 911 THEN DO IT! Private plate being taken with me (R6 OFY) will go back on a 56 plate My 911
