Porsche 911 996 Carrera 2 Manual RELISTED DUE TO TIME WASTER IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF PAYING PLEASE DO NOT BID !!! Please note this is not just a slap the bumper on and drive it away kind of repair, if it was that easy this car would be listed for 10 k plus so please read the listing in full before bidding I’ve tried to include all the information i no but if there anything else please ask i am sorry for all the genuine bidders out there it just a shame a few dreamers spoil it for others now on to the listing. Here we have my 1998 porsche 911 996 carrera 2 3.4 litre in basalt black with the gorgeous tan leather interior ( best colour combination in my mind) Unfortunately the car was involved in a light front end collision some years ago now by the previous owner and was registered as a CAT D on the v car register . Please be assured this is only light panel damage and that the important and costly rear end is untouched, engine still starts and drives. I will start by giving you some background information on the car, I bought the vehicle back in January 2015 in its current damaged state with the intension of repairing and putting my dream car back on the road however this never happened due to money and other commitments, all i have done to it is give it a thorough clean and kept it in dry storage with a sheet over it hoping that one day i will be in a position to get it fixed sadly that day didn’t come and now it must go due to needing the money for a house. Right on to the good points first then. This porsche is the 911 996 carrera 2 model registered in august 1998 with the 3.4 litre engine and the all important manual transmission. with only 52237 miles on the clock this could be the lowest mileage 996 in the country, this is probably due to spending a lot of its life in storage. Engine sounds great and struck up first time the other day after charging the battery i obviously haven’t driven it since owning but i was assured it drives fine and selects all gears. It is finished in basalt black paint and savannah (tan) leather interior. Apart from the damage at the front this vehicle is in very good condition with only a few very minor age related marks to the bodywork. The interior is also excellent with no rips or tears just a few minor marks as to be expected for a vehicle of this age (20 years old). As i am sure you will be aware if looking at these cars they come very well equipped with electric windows, central locking, power steering etc There is also an aftermarket cd player installed. It has 4 good tyres with lots of tread. The v5 is present and in my name and comes with its original porsche key. I have lots of old mots and service invoices to verify the mileage is genuine (i couldn’t quite believe it my self when i bought it) Overall this will be an amazing car and a great investment when this is repaired as the price of these 996’s hit rock bottom a couple of years ago but has now taken a u turn and the prices are rocketing up at the minute. I have no doubt this will be a 20 grand car in a few years time i just need the money for my house, i am gutted as i would of loved to get this back on the road and enjoy it. Right now for the bad bits. As you can see in the pictures it has taken a shunt to the front end. I do have most of the parts to repair which include a front bumper and wings etc. A new windscreen is also needed, this is due to the driver who crashed not wearing a seat belt and hitting his head on the screen, unlucky for him but good to no that it isn’t cracked due to any chassis damage. It will need the front bumper reinforcer looking at as it is slightly out of line please see pictures for damage. The radiators are brand new and was fitted by the garage i bought it from they just haven’t got any coolant in yet. The steering wheel is not the original as the airbag went off in the crash, this new one was already fitted by the garage when i got it which is from a tiptronic model as they told me they couldn’t find a matching one at the time. For some reason the rear boot lid will not open i think the cable that opens it has jammed it did work when i first got it so should be an easy repair. There is obviously no mot with this car and is currently registered as sorn. I have tried to be as honest as possible and tried to explain all i no about the car i am a genuine person and would not want to miss lead anyone. Obviously this car needs some work to be put back on the road but to some one that knows about these cars and has the time this could be a very good investment indeed. I strongly advise viewing so you can access the damage yourself before bidding (please email to book a viewing). I have probably missed loads so please don’t hesitate to message me if you have any questions or would like more pictures as i have lots. I have listed the car with a 99p start price and no reserve, due to not knowing how much it is worth. This is a 10 day auction and will run to the end so get bidding and you could grab your self a very cheap 911 and a future investment. Cash on collection only !! No part exchanges !! No overseas bidders !! Happy bidding !!
