MOT 17/10/19 over £30,000 spent in last 2 years82,500 miles (confirmed by DVLA)(will go up as car still being used)Welcome to the listing for this gorgeous Porsche 911 (996).This car came in to us as a part exchange against a classic BSA we had in the showroom. We don’t deal in cars but took this in to make the deal work for the customer, and also knowing that our Managing Director would use the car himself while we had it.The previous owner who part-ex’d this in had a collection of bikes, and Porsche’s. He had owned this particular car since 2010 and since 2012 had only done between 205 and 811 miles per year in it just keeping it ticking over. When it came in to us we could see the paint was looking tired. Some areas had faded a little, bits of it had lost all its shine, and some areas on the front and rear bumpers had stone chips and minor scratches. The doors also had a fair few shopping trolley dings in them. There were also a few mechanical bits that needed attention, so we took it straight to Revolution Porsche in Leeds to give it a full health check. nearly £10k later we have a fully sorted 996 and with a complete body restoration as well as a full respray in the gorgeous and very rare Riviera Blue. Only a handful of 996’s were ever done in this colour. I have added a photo of the car when it came in to us in its original colour so you can see that the car was a straight car, and to see it looks much better in this new colour. Here is the full list of works we have had done by Revolution Porsche;Major ServiceTiptronic gearbox stripped, cleaned, new bearings, new seal, new filter, and fluid replacedNew Porsche key with remote lockingReplace polybelt and worn pulleysReplace front brake discs, pads, sensors, and dampening platesReplace rear pads, sensors, and dampening discsFull brake fluid changeReplace front lower control armsReplace rear lower control armsReplace plug tubes / o-ringsReplace vario-cam solenoid sealsNew wiper blades front & rearReplace faulty wiper armReplace oil filler tube / neck4 Wheel alignmentRemove, clean, seal/replace sump panReplace both coolant radiatorsReplace air-con condenserRe-gas air-conLeak in air-con pipe diagnosed, replaced, and system re-gassed againAll brake pipes cleaned and greasedReplace exhaust silencers with Dansk stainless steel sports systemRepalce door contact switch (left)Replace fuel flap hingeReplace pre-cat Lambda sensorsK&N Air Intake System (proper one where the airbox is removed)All wheels refurbished and painted in an Anthracite Metallic GreySpacers fitted on all wheels to widen the track and make them sit more flush with the archesNew tuning forksFront seats removed and professionally refurbishedCalipers stripped and refurbished and painted yellow (like the current models)Brand new Porsche crest centre caps for wheels now fitted (not shown in photos)Car comes with the genuine Porsche Certificate of Authenticity stating the following details from new;Model Year / Type: 1999 / 911 (996) Carrera 2 CoupeProduction Completed Date: 25.09.1998Date of Registration: 05.10.1998 (imported to UK and registered 23.04.1999 – practically from new)Believed to be a special “Factory Collect” car where for £400 extra you could go to the factory and collect the car in personExterior Paint Colour / Code: Ocean Blue Metallic / E1E1Interior Material / Colours: Graphite Grey Full LeatherOptional Equipment:Headlight cleaning unit18″ Turbo look wheelsDeletion of model designationRear parking assistanceSun roofOn board computerWechsler CDHeated seatsElectric front seatsTraction controlTiptronic S gearboxThe car then at some point has also been upgraded with a full Aero kit including sideskirts, bumpers, and also a fixed rear spoiler. The car comes with 2 keys, full V5, original Porsche Authenticity Certificate, clear HPI report, current MOT certificate and 7 old ones, printout of VOSA MOT history, full service history printout from Porsche in 2010 going right back to when the car was new (around £6k worth of servicing through Porsche Main Dealers), copy of the invoice for the works we have had carried out, and receipt for a new 911 S tiptronic gearbox in 2010 from Cornwall & Devon Transmissions.DVLA VERIFIED MOT MILEAGE HISTORY28/10/06 – 47,584m17/11/07 – 56,655m31/10/08 – 64,749m05/11/09 – 73,721m11/08/10 – 78,400m30/08/11 – 79,683m15/10/12 – 80,253m08/10/13 – 80,900m08/10/14 – 81,711m08/10/15 – 81,933m11/10/16 – 82,138m18/10/17 – 82,417mThe condition of the car now is excellent. The sound from the new sports exhaust system combined with the K&N cold air feed is awesome. Nice and quiet when just cruising, has a great induction roar when you press the “loud” pedal. It now sounds just like a Porsche should. With all the work done on the car, it drives absolutely faultlessly. No knocks, no rattles, no squeaks (had 3 hours on the car just getting rid of a plastic squeak around the rear seats, removing all the panels, and refitting until the squeak was gone). It really is faultless, and I dont say that lightly. There are cheaper 996’s out there, and there are some lower mileage ones, but you get what you pay for. With all the work just done on this car, and by a proper Porsche specialist (around £10k), you know that you are getting a well sorted car, sorted by proper Porsche specialists, that isn’t just going to empty your bank account a few weeks after you have bought it. And cosmetically this is totally fresh with the new paint, and in a VERY desirable and rare colour for a 996. Gets admiring looks everywhere it goes.Viewings are welcome and can be day or evening. More than happy to take you out in the car, but any test drives will have me driving due to too many horror stories you hear.Any questions then please do not hesitate to ask.Happy to consider part ex. Can be cash either way, up or down. Also happy to take motorbikes as part ex as I run a bike showroom / workshop. As we are bike dealers not car dealers, no warranty is given or implied. I am happy however to take the car to a Porsche Specialist locally for you to get them to give a health report on it of your own, or for you to bring a Porsche specialist with you to view the car, or I can give you the details of Revolution Porsche so you can speak to them direct (Russ or Danny) about the car and they can give you an assessment on it.Please contact me on 07557979926
