Porsche 911 Carrera S finished in striking Baltic black Metallic with just two previous owners the last of which is a personal friend the car has always been garaged by previous owners as well as myself. This Carrera S is ideal for those that take pleasure in spirited driving, as it comes with the sublime six speed manual gearbox, Sport Chrono Plus, Sport Button, Hardback Sports Leather Seats, Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), cruise control, satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, auto wipers and 19″ 5 multi Spoke Wheels. The Carrera S comes fitted with the rear mounted 3.8 litre flat six engine that produces 350bhp. Just two previous owners from new (current owner myself since August 2016) and full service history with invoices. “The handling balance of the Carrera S is superb. Retaining the unorthodox rear-engine layout has proved to be a great decision, as the latest 911 is as lithe and nimble as any sports car on sale today. No matter how quickly you’re driving, the Porsche is easy to place on the road and carves accurately through any corner.” Auto Express Magazine, 2005 The wide rear end of the wide bodied Porsche 911 Carrera S is simply perfection personified. Background Production of the 911 Carrera S began in early 2004, the new S version was offered, with additional power from a slightly larger engine, sports suspension, and sports exhaust. The Carrera S uses a new 3.8 litre flat-6 engine. As standard the Carrera S was fitted with 20mm lower suspension with PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), 19 inch wheels, 911 turbo brake setup, Bi-Xenon headlights and aluminium finish instruments. Exterior The Porsche 911 Carrera S looks stunning in its metallic coat of Baltic Black, an optional colour for the car. The striking silver Carrera Multi-spoke alloy wheels are the perfect contrast to the 911 Turbo red brake callipers. The paintwork condition is excellent, with no blemishes on any panel. The Carrera S has been clay bar treated and waxed with auto glym High Definition Wax, which will help protect the paintwork and repel surface contaminants. All the trim has a perfect finish, as do the front and rear lights, which are free from any damage or moisture build-up. The windows drop as they should when you open the door. The engine and boot struts also operate as they should. Interior The optional black leather hardback sports seats and rest of the interior leathers are in excellent condition and provide a perfect pairing to the Baltic black metallic bodywork. There are no marks or signs of wear to any of the trim, panels or switchgear, with the leather retaining a wholly fresh appearance throughout. The sleek aesthetic is topped-off with features like the Sport Chrono plus Silver Stopwatch on the dashboard, Aluminium dials and silver gear knob. Equipment All the key options are fitted to this 911 Carrera S, including the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) System with Navigation, Phone Module, Sport Chrono Plus, Sport Button, 6 CD Changer, Bi-Xenon headlights, Park Assist System with rear parking sensors, Automatic wipers, Rear window wiper, cruise control, Electrically adjusted Hardback Sports seats with silver backs, Automatic dimming electric mirrors and the aluminium driver dials. Standard items include the 19-inch ’5-Spoke’ Carrera S alloy wheels, Carrera S inscribed sill covers, Stainless steel quad exhaust tips, retractable rear spoiler, Automatic climate control, Graduated grey tinted windscreen glass, Electric windows, Headlight washers, dual cup holders, Remote central locking, Trip computer, PASM Traction Control, ABS, Locking wheel bolts, Locking glove box, Alarm and Immobiliser. All equipment fitted to my 911 Carrera S works perfectly, so the car is exactly as it left the factory in 2005. The Porsche Bi-Xenon headlights offer exceptional brightness, even in challenging conditions. Engine and Transmission Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the 3.8 litre flat six engine. The Carrera S engine produces 350bhp and 295ft-lb of torque. The axle load distribution of approximately 40:60 ensures high directional stability and superb road behaviour. The engine starts cleanly when cold or hot (it has the recommended starter cable upgrade), there is no smoke whatsoever either at start up or when driving. There are no unusual sounds or rattles when the engine is running. With its compact design and low weight, the 6 speed manual gearbox is a simple, direct way to tap into the power of the 911 Carrera S. The manual transmission system provides short gearshift travel and precise lever movement, giving you the highest possible level of accessibility with the minimum of fuss. Our 911 Carrera S is equipped with the highly desired Sport Chono Plus system, which includes the dashboard mounted silver stopwatch and lap timer. It also adds a SPORT button to the dash which tautens the throttle and the damping while loosening PASM’s reins Wheels, Tyres and Brakes Our 911 Carrera S comes fitted with the 19 inch multi spoke Carrera S alloy wheels, which are totally unmarked, free of kerbing damage and corrosion. The Turbo brakes are phenomenal, cross drilled and vented discs front and rear. The tyres are matching Michelin items with 6mm of tread on the front and 4mm on the rear.
